Arts1 is delighted to be hosting a week of workshops that are inspired by some of the best West End Musicals and Plays.
Each day sees a different workshop with a different industry lead, including cast members from the shows and some familiar Arts1 faces.

Our team brings a wealth of experience from leading productions, offering insider knowledge and hands-on training. Kirsty Ingram
Hairspray: The Musical!
Kirsty graduated in 2016 with a First Class BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre from The Arts Educational Schools, London where she also gained an Ian Fleming Award. Since then she has continued to work professionally in the Performing Arts Industry. Her credits include: Lulu / onstage swing and understudy Marty, Jan and Patty in Grease (Dominion Theatre, West End), Groundhog Day Workshop (Old Vic), Snow White in Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs (Theatre Royal, Newcastle, Cliffs Pavillion, Southend-On-Sea and Mayflower Theatre, Southampton), Teen Max/Phyllis in The Grinch The Musical (SKY1 and NBC), Rumpleteazer in Cats (Europe and International Tours), Tammy and understudied and played Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray (UK Tour), understudied and played Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family (UK and International Tours), Dinah Lord in High Society (Mill at Sonning), understudy Blousey in Bugsy Malone (Lyric Hammersmith), RSC 400th Anniversary (BBC), Sweet Charity (Cadogen Hall), The Olivier Awards (Royal Opera House), Finalist in Stephen Sondheim Student Performer of the Year 2016 (Novello Theatre), ITV This Morning (Grease, West End), BBC Big Night of Musicals (AO Arena, Manchester). Kirsty loves to teach dancing, singing and acting to students of all ages and abilities and is extremely passionate about sharing her knowledge with aspiring performers in order to help them gain confidence and reach their potential.
Cameron McAllister
Back To The Future: The Musical
Cameron McAllister is an actor and dancer whose theatre credits include: Back to the Future (Manchester Opera House and West End), Back To The Future – Workshop and The Other Guys (Edinburgh Festival Fringe).
Television Credits: Dancer in Belgravia.
Theatre credits whilst training include: Pat Gilbert in State Fair; Jimmy Winter in Nice Work If You Can Get It and Army Sergeant in The Fix.
Matthew Forbes
An Intro to West End Puppetry! From Lion King to War Horse.
Matthew works internationally as a Director, with a strong focus on puppetry, object manipulation and physical theatre. He trained at the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama as an Actor, specialising in collaborative and devised theatre.
Alongside his professional directing career Matthew also teaches puppetry and movement internationally working with students in productions and projects from ArtsEd, East15 and the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama.

Ivano Turco
Everybody's Talking About Jamie!
Graduating in 2020 Ivano debuted in the Original West End cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella starring as Prince Sebastian (Gillian Lynne Theatre). He was a part of ALW’s Cinderella Original Album Cast Recording which received a GRAMMY Nomination as a ‘Featured Artist’ for Best Musical Theatre Album in 2021. In 2021 he was the winner of the Black British Theatre award for Best Male Actor in a Musical for Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cinderella. In 2021 he starred as Mordred in Lambert Jackson’s CAMELOT: In Concert (London Palladium); and was part of the original London workshop cast of ‘FANGIRLS’ as Salty and Dance captain. He also appears on the studio album of Footballer’s Wives as Salvo, featuring on the singles ‘Lonely Moon’ and ‘Let’s Dance’. And went on to alternate in the role of Bob Marley in the closing cast of ‘Get Up! Stand Up! The Bob Marley Musical.’ (Lyric Theatre).
Most recently Ivano has played the lead role of Jamie New in Everybody's Talking About Jamie!
Isabel Canning
Sister Act: The Musical
Isabel trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, graduating with a first class BA (Hons) degree in Musical Theatre.
