Mamma Mia! & School of Rock Workshops
Suitable for 7 - 17 year olds
On Friday 27 October we're pleased to bringing you 2 all singing and all dancing musical theatre workshops inspired by Mamma Mia! The Musical and School of Rock for young people aged 7-16.
Benjy Stevens, an Arts1 graduate, comes direct from playing Pepper in Mamma Mia! in Hamburg and will be treating you to a workshop straight from the famous greek island.
Jake Sharp, who has recently played the lead role of Dewey Finn in Andrew Lloyd Webber's School of Rock in the West End and on the UK tour is coming to Arts1 to see if you have what it takes to be in the band with a workshop inspired by the show.
Students will be split into the following 2 age groups, and will rotate workshops:
7 - 10 and 11 - 16

Benjy Stevens
Benjy graduated from our Arts1 Sixth Form and has since gone on to appear in various film, theatre and musical productions. Credits include: Pepper in Mamma Mia! The Musical, Marvel's Secret Invasion and Birmingham Commonwealth Games.

Jake Sharp
Jake trained at East 15 Acting School, graduating in 2013.
Theatre credits include: Dewey Finn in School of Rock (UK and Ireland Tour), Dewey Finn (alt) in School of Rock (Gillian Lynne, West End), Mr Williams in School of Rock (New London Theatre), Bill in Mamma Mia (RCCL), Rob in Sleepless (Workshop at Troubadour Wembley Park), and Ben in Going Out West (which he co-wrote for the New Diorama, London/Just The Tonic, Edinburgh Fringe.
TV credits include: Andy and the Band (BBC), Doctors (BBC), The National Lottery’s Big Night of Musicals 2022 (BBC), Blue Peter Children In Need 2021 (BBC), Ben Ogden in Doctors (BBC).
