Vocational Course Manager & DSL
Kim Puttick
Kim joined the Arts1 staff team in November 2015 bringing her business skills to the school and having been involved as a parent since February 2008.
Since joining Arts1 Kim has been involved in managing the part-time school, taking care of the day to day administration and communication with parents and also getting involved with the many productions and performances throughout the year. She has worked on numerous internal and external productions both chaperoning children backstage and on professional film and TV sets and also welcoming audiences front of house at our theatre venues.
More recently Kim has taken on the role of Vocational Course Manager at Arts1, with her focus now being dedicated to the Sixth Form and where she is responsible for managing admissions, timetables and examinations. She is on hand for all of the varied needs of the Sixth Form students and their parents and works closely with the teaching team to ensure student needs are met.
Prior to working with Arts1, Kim’s previous experience includes managing teams of administrators and sales staff in various businesses. She started her career managing pubs and restaurants with her husband which equipped her in managing challenging but equally gaining experience in dealing with a range of different people from all walks of life and where she credits her experience in customer service, understanding people and developing the ability to multitask.
Working at Arts1 is different to any role Kim has had previously. She says every day is different at the school and there is never a dull moment! She loves to watch all of the amazing students grow in skills and confidence and support them to eventually fly the nest, which is the most rewarding experience anyone could ask for.
In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family and in particular her 3 young grandchildren. She also loves walking her dogs and relaxing in her hot tub in the garden!
