Arts1 was founded in 2006 by Principal Rebecca Carrington and Creative Director James Grimsey. Our award winning school is proud to be founded in Milton Keynes and our wonderful team of specialist teachers and coaches nurture the talents of over 500 young people and adults each week.


We have an incredible range of part-time classes for children, young people and adults that take place on weekdays after school and at the weekend.

Arts1 School of Performance: Katie Wilson


Katie Wilson

Whilst training with Vivien Batchelder, Katie successfully auditioned for the National Youth Ballet and the Royal Ballet School Associate programme. She attended weekly lessons at White Lodge in Richmond Park and Covent Garden when at the age of 16 she gained a scholarship to train with the English National Ballet School.

Katie completed her teacher training at Deborah Capon College and holds her Licentiate in Ballet under the instruction of Vivienne Saxton as well as holding DDE Modern and Tap.

Katie is a member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance and is also qualified to teach the Progressing Ballet Technique Syllabus.

Katie is very passionate about delivering the classical ballet classes at Arts1 and enjoys nurturing the students skills.
