Arts1 was founded in 2006 by Principal Rebecca Carrington and Creative Director James Grimsey. Our award winning school is proud to be founded in Milton Keynes and our wonderful team of specialist teachers and coaches nurture the talents of over 500 young people and adults each week.


We have an incredible range of part-time classes for children, young people and adults that take place on weekdays after school and at the weekend.

Jake Maiden

Jake is a former of student of Arts1 who went on to train at the prestigious London Studio Centre graduating with a BA Honours in Theatre Dance.




As a successful professional dancer, Jake has worked in the UK and internationally and most recently was Dance Captain for P&O Australia. Jake’s professional experiences ranges from commercial to theatre and television. His professional credits include: Aladdin (Aylesbury Waterside Theatre), Dance Captain, Pacific Jewel, (P&O Australia), Sarah Harding (Girls Aloud) – Threads Promo, Disney Channel (Violetta Dance), Rapunzel (Towngate Theatre) and Harringtons Hair Show. Jake has an extremely positive energy in the classroom and is excited to be back at Arts1 working with both our full time and part time students.
