Georgia Tillery

Georgia Tillery Randak (she/her) theatre maker, director, and facilitator. Georgia creates theatre that embodies alternative viewpoints and counter-narratives; splicing traditional stories and expectations to create new experiences to challenge, surprise, scare, question, and inspire curiosity in audiences.

Education and Training

Georgia trained at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA), graduating with a first-class Hons in Community Drama and a wealth of practical experience. She became one of the original members of Rat Pit Theatre company in Liverpool. She went on to develop her practice at The Intercultural Institute (ITI) in Singapore. In 2021, Georgia was awarded a MA in Professional Theatre Practice that she received from LIPA with a distinction.

Work

Georgia has worked on numerous theatre and performance projects with and for a variety of communities and individuals. Some include co-creating and performing in a piece of multi sensory theatre at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with Rat Pit Theatre; performing in the Olympic Torch parade for the London Olympics 2012; and directing and lecturing on various modules at the UNON. Georgia is supported by the Royal and Derngate Theatre as an associate artist and has been recognised by the JMK Trust as a new and emerging director. Georgia’s biggest achievement to date is co-founding Black Sheep Collective CIC, a creative arts community interest company. Since its conception in 2013, Black Sheep Collective CIC has won numerous awards and worked with an array of clients to deliver bespoke arts events, programs, and performances. Georgia is currently working on a new theatre piece, ‘SKIN’ which will be performed as part of Queer AF in Milton Keynes.
