Dan Smith

Dan read English Literature at the University of Durham, before training in Musical Theatre at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. 

 Theatre work includes: Julian, the Fabulist in ‘The Fabulist’ (Charing Cross Theatre); Daddy in ‘Little Robin Redbreast’, Mr Hinks/Mr Scrutton in ‘Moonfleet’, Brian in ‘Worst Wedding Ever’ (Salisbury Playhouse); The Tramp in ‘Salad Days’ (UK Tour); Tommy in ‘Carnaby Street the Musical’ (UK Tour); Rupert Cadell in ‘Rope’, Customer/Drums/Voice of Audrey II in ‘Little Shop of Horrors’, Harold Palmer in ‘Communicating Doors’, Lt Rooney in ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ (Pitlochry Festival Theatre); a number of pantomimes across the country, as various Dames and Villains. 

 TV includes both series of ITV’s ‘Popstar to Operastar’. 

 As Musical Supervisor: ‘Spamalot’ (English Theatre Frankfurt). 

 As Musical Director: ‘Evita’, ’Alfie’, ‘The Witches of Eastwick’, ’The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’, ‘Godspell’, ’Jet! Set! Go!’, ‘The Burnt Part Boys’, ‘The Secret Garden’ (Guildford School of Acting); ‘Salad Days’ (UK Tour); ‘Assassins’, ‘Saturday Night’ (London College of Music); ‘Carnaby Street the Musical’, ‘Carnaby Street the Concert’ (UK Tour); ‘Little Robin Redbreast’ (Salisbury Playhouse); numerous pantomimes around the UK. 

Dan is also a member of The Magic Circle, and performs on stage as Debra Kadabra.
