Arts1 was founded in 2006 by Principal Rebecca Carrington and Creative Director James Grimsey. Our award winning school is proud to be founded in Milton Keynes and our wonderful team of specialist teachers and coaches nurture the talents of over 500 young people and adults each week.


We have an incredible range of part-time classes for children, young people and adults that take place on weekdays after school and at the weekend.

Acting Tutor

Ami Sayers

Ami is an actor, writer, director and teacher who is currently undertaking an MA in Actor Training and Coaching at The Royal Central School Of Speech and Drama. Her focus is on developing the use of Stanislavski’s system in actor training and how it can be combined with other methods to help unlock the inner life and power of the actor.

As an actor she has worked consistently in theatre playing varied roles and has particular experience with classical text. Her credits include Juliet in Romeo and Juliet (Jermyn Street Theatre), Hermia in A Midsummer Nights Dream and Miranda in The Tempest (Middle Temple Hall), Viola in Twelfth Night (open air tour) as well as contemporary work including Jon Fosse’s Visits (Theatre Deli) and Someone Found (Pleasance, London).
