The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts

I Began Arts1 classes when I was 17, looking for some extra musical theatre training on top of my college course. What I got was much more than I could ever have asked. Three Years later, thanks to the training and support I have continually received from the Arts1 team, I am beginning a new venture to study at Italia Conti. The team will always do anything they can to help you perform to the best of your ability while helping you grow as an all round performer. Its the best thing I have ever done! I'm going to miss everyone so much, and will be back to visit any chance I get!

I don't know what I'd be doing now if it wasn't for the help I was given and the skills I acquired from Arts1. I was there from the beginning and being a part of what started out as a small, but ambitious school was such an exciting experience. In the time I was there, I got so much experience in performing.

We put on huge musicals, we did script work from shows such as blood brothers, we were put through performance classes where we'd get up and sing then receive feedback. I even got to spend a day in a professional recording studio.
I can't thank James and Rebecca enough, because without them I doubt I'd be at such an incredible institution studying to become a professional!

Having known Rebecca and James for many years, I am very grateful for their advice and the skills they have taught me, along with the excellent opportunities provided by Arts1; the performances they produce are of a professional standard, from set design and lighting through to costumes, hair and make-up.

The sense of comfort and openess the Arts1 teachers convey within the classroom environment is paramount, and I cannot thank them enough for the priceless support, encouragement and constructive criticism that they have given to me. Without this, I would not be where I am today; realising my dream. being at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

"I was a student at Arts1 when it first opened its doors. I think that taking a gap year was the best thing that could have happened for me. I was able to experience all the great experiences Arts1 has to offer. Amazing full scale musicals and workshops that inspired me to persue a place on a full time graduate course at "Arts Ed" London. I am very excited about my last year on the course in London. I have great opportunities ahead of me and can't believe I'm here. I owe it to the staff at Arts1 who have been nothing but supportive to me. As long as you listen to the advice and valuable lessons they teach you can't go far wrong!"

Paul Recently played the principle role of Munkustrap in his final year production of Cats. He performed for Andrew Lloyd Webber, Cameron Mackintosh and many other industry figures and is currently auditioning for musicals in the West-End.
